Eagles 13u Dewitt played great softball, making it to the semifinals at the PGF MI State Championships in Stevensville, MI this past weekend.  

Pool play started on Friday with a pair of 4-3 victories, over Bash Bombers Chicago 13u and Indy Edge 06 Fanelli.  These wins secured a #1 Seed going into Bracket play on Saturday!  

The start of Bracket Play on Saturday was a tough one, losing 3-0 to Michiana Lady Scrappers.  But then the Eagles went 3-0 the rest of the day, winning 10-0 against MI Batbusters 13u Moceri, 4-2 against MI Sabercats 13u Jozsa and 5-4 against Kalamazoo Growlers 13u.  

On Sunday, the Eagles matched up against the Bash Bombers 13u once again.  The Eagles dominated the game, winning 11-1, which propelled the Eagles into the Semifinals against a very good Indy Edge 06 Carmichael team.  Ultimately, the Eagles fell to Edge 8-3.  

Kate and Savannah had a great weekend at the plate.  Kate had 3 triples and 8 RBIs.  Savannah had 5 doubles and 1 HR with 8 RBIs.  Savannah also pitched very well, finishing with 35 k's over the weekend.

The Eagles played outstanding softball over the weekend, placing 3rd overall with a 6-2 record.  The only losses were to the eventual Tournament Runner Up and Champion.  Great job Ladies!  Go Eagles!
