Eagles '07 Craven wrapped up a great weekend of softball, defeating Ann Arbor Gold Stripp 5-2 to win the Summer Slam Championship!

Play began on Friday with a 9-7 victory over Ann Arbor Gold Stripp.  This was a high scoring affair as both teams racked up double digit hits.

Pool play continued on Saturday with a match up against MSA Saline.  This game was never in doubt as the Eagles jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the 1st inning en route to a 12-0 victory. This win secured a #2 overall seed heading into bracket play.

The Eagles continued their strong play on Sunday with a 14-3 win over Fenton Fastpitch.  This was powered by a 9-run second inning in which the Eagles put up 5 straight hits and set up a Grand Slam by Lilly F.

Next up would be a semifinal match up against Michigan Heat.  After a slow start the Eagles bats came alive, outhitting the Heat 9-2 and winning the game 7-3... On to the Championship game

The Finals would be a rematch against Ann Arbor Gold Stripp.  The Gold had a tough hill to climb as they had to defeat 3 teams in order to get to the Finals.  The Gold was a very tough opponent holding a 1-0 lead until the 3rd inning when the Eagles switched to small ball.  This strategy proved successful as they put up 5 runs that inning and went on to a 5-2 victory.

Eagles '07 Craven have found their stride as of late, as they are currently on a 9-game winning streak.  They have played extremely well in all 3 phases of the game and have been a lot of fun to watch.  We are so proud of these ladies!  Great job and go Eagles!
